We connect, communicate and interact with many different people on many different platforms, resulting in a diffuse amount of data. As famously coined by Eric Schmidt, former CEO of Google, “Every two days, we create as much information as we did up to 2003.”
This puts us in a situation where it becomes increasingly difficult to know what — and whom — to rely on. Trust and the strength of relations is of the essence, and how do we navigate through these in a smart way?
With Wosju, we have built something that defies the clutter and focuses on what’s important to you — your data, your connections and your relations. It’s not a matter of just listing connections, searching widespread on a number of platforms and having a hard time using your network in a strategic way. It’s the exact opposite.
Wosju aggregates data from your networks, analyzes these and visualizes them in a useful way, allowing you to see valuable information about your networks — your connections — and provides you with an all-new possibility to find the optimal path to a person, through your network, or your network’s network. Not just by listing names, but by showing the actual path to X, and the strength of every connection in the path. For example, say you want to find a designer in Amsterdam. Wosju will show you the smartest path to that person through your networks and your network’s network.
Now imagine if this technology could be used on other sites. For example, a hotel review on Tripadvisor. What’s more valuable, a review from a complete stranger or a review from a person you actually have a connection to — perhaps even a close connection?
In this initial phase of Wosju, we tap into the widely popular services like Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and Foursquare, but we have an additional long list of services and networks that we wish to include. Imagine, for example, if you could extract valuable knowledge from the people you email with and talk to on the phone, thereby bridging the gap between your online life and your offline life.
Wosju was launched exactly six weeks ago, in a very limited, private beta. Today, we're ready to reveal our product — and open up for even more users.
